ShareSardarnagar police on Friday arrested four alleged burglars and claimed to have busted a gang operating mainly in Sardarnagar and Naroda areas.Sources in the police said the four - identified as Manoj Kumar, Manoj alias Jigo Babubhai, Ajitsinh Kahar and Rohit Jate - were arrested after stolen cash and valuables were recovered from them.
Police said the four were nabbed by the strike force of DCP Zone-4 during routine patrolling. The patrolling party grew suspicious of the four, who, when quizzed, confessed to the thefts they had committed.
Inspector YR Gamit of Sardarnagar police station said, "The four were involved in at least three cases of house break-in in Naroda and Sardarnagar areas. We have recovered five mobile phones, valuables and Rs 6000 from them."The four are likely to be produced before the metropolitan court on Saturday for remand.
