Shrenik Gandhi, father of alleged Ponzi scamster Abhay Gandhi, fears that his son might have been murdered.

On Sunday, the senior Gandhi published an appeal in a local newspaper urging the public to inform him of the whereabouts of his son. The alleged fraudster has gone missing ever since complaints of fraud were registered against him 4 months ago and has been declared as an absconder.

In the public appeal, the father asks Abhay to return home as soon as possible as the family members are worried. He has asked public to help find his son and has also promised reward to anyone who gives hint to his whereabouts. He also mentioned that Abhay has been missing since March 25 and the DCB is also looking for him.

MM Shukla, Shrenik Gandhi's lawyer, said that the father and other family members have done everything they can to find Abhay but to no avail. "My client fears that his son might have been murdered. So it is a genuine appeal to help find Abhay" Shukla said.

The appeal also mentions that due to generation gap between father and son, Abhay was living separately and had developed his own business a few years back. The father has also appealed to public to inform police about his missing son.

Gandhi senior has made a personal appeal to his son to return home. In a separate paragraph in the appeal, Gandhi urged his son to come back and no one will ask for any explanation from him or scold him. "If you don't show up or we do not get some information about you, our eyes will be moist to think that you don't exist in this world anymore," the paragraph reads.

DBC has seized a number of properties belonging to AISE Capital Management Ltd, the firm promoted by Gandhi. The Ponzi scheme operator is alleged to have duped his 10,000 investors of Rs500 crore by not paying unusually high returns on their investments.
