6 bombs recovered from Jharkhand during panchayat elections

Six cylinder bombs were today recovered from the Maoist-infested Chatra district where the fourth phase panchayat election is underway, police said.

Security forces found the explosives buried under the road at Hunterganj during a search operation, they said.

A bomb disposal squad has already left for the place to defuse them.

Meanwhile, the police said the panchayat elections were being held amid tight security.
