31 cases of encroachment of govt land by filling stations in New Delhi

The Land and Development office of the Urban Development Ministry is responsible for the administration of the properties belonging to the central government.

As many as 31 cases of encroachment of government land by filling stations of various oil companies have been detected in the national capital.

Replying to a question in Lok Sabha, minister of state for Urban Development Saugata Roy said Land and Development office of his Ministry has issued notices to all the filling stations encroaching government land in the city.
   
The Land and Development office of the Ministry is responsible for the administration of the properties belonging to the central government in the city.

He said one CNG station has also encroached on government land in the city.
   
Roy said civic agency MCD has also been told to remove the encroachments.
   
Giving details of the land allotted to oil companies, he said the Delhi Development Authority has given land to 180 filling stations and 54 CNG stations while the Land and Development Office has allotted land to 66 filling stations and 15 CNG stations.
