3 persons electrocuted, 22 injured in Bihar

The incident occured when a truck carrying around 80 people to Bhagwanpur came into contact with a high voltage wire and caught fire in Bihar's Vaishali district.

Three persons were electrocuted and 22 suffered burn injuries when a high voltage wire fell on them when they were travelling on a truck in Bihar's Vaishali district today, police said.
       
The truck was carrying around 80 people to Bhagwanpur from here. The people were returning after attending a funeral procession when the truck came into contact with the wire and caught fire.
           
Three persons were electrocuted and burnt alive, while 22 received burn injuries, Vaishali SP Sujit Kumar said.
           
Kumar had earlier said that 15 people were electrocuted.
           
"We have verified from the officials at the spot and also the hospitals and learnt that only three bodies have been recovered," Kumar said.
       
The injured have been shifted to nearby hospitals.
