3 labourers killed in ceiling collapse in Uttarakhand

Three labourers were killed while four others were injured when the ceiling of an under-construction factory collapsed on them at Sitarganj area of Udhamsingh Nagar district, police said today.

The incident occurred last night when the labourers were working in the factory and suddenly the ceiling that was partly built collapsed injuring seven of them, deputy superintendent of police DS Rawat said.

Three of them, who were injured seriously, were rushed to a hospital in Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh. However, they succumbed to their injuries. The condition of other four labourers is said to be stable.
