A Delhi court on Wednesday cut-short hearing in the 2G spectrum case to facilitate the Income Tax department to begin its three-day interrogation of former Telecom Minister A Raja and five other co-accused.

Raja, Swan Telecom Promoters Shahid Usman Balwa and Vinod Goenka and three top Reliance ADAG officials -- Gautam Doshi, Hari Nair and Surender Pipara -- were allowed to be quizzed in judicial custody by the IT department.

Special CBI Judge OP Saini on July 21 allowed the three separate applications of the department for quizzing Raja in connection with his family income.

Balwa would be quizzed by the Income Tax team from Mumbai regarding his connection with Dubai-based Etisalat DB.

The IT department, in three separate applications, had said the Additional Commissioner of Income Tax, Mumbai would interrogate Balwa, Goenka and three ADAG officials.

The interrogation of the six accused would continue till July 29.

The court on Wednesday did not hear the arguments on framing of charges in the case after the lunch session.
