2G scam: Court notice to CBI on bail pleas of Reliance Group officials

The three senior executives were arrested by the CBI on charges of committing conspiracy to facilitate Reliance Infocom to get 2G licenses in 13 circles.

The Supreme Court Friday issued notice to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on pleas for bail by three officials of Reliance Group, taken into judicial custody in the second generation (2G) telecom spectrum allocation case.

An apex court bench of Justice Ganga Sakshi Singhvi and Justice HL Dattu issued notice on the plea by Reliance Group managing director Gautam Doshi, group president Surendra Pipara and senior vice president Hari Nayar.

The three senior executives were arrested by the CBI on charges of committing conspiracy to facilitate Reliance Infocom to get 2G licenses in 13 circles. The court gave the federal investigative agency two week's time to respond to the notice.
