21 wagons of goods train derail in Rajasthan

A 58-wagon goods train laden with rice was on its way from Faridkot to Gandhidham when the incident occurred at around 8am near Marwar Bagra station.

Twenty one wagons of a Gandhidham-bound goods trains today derailed on Samdari Bhilari section in Rajasthan's Jalore district, but no one was injured in the incident.

According to divisional railway manager (Jodhpur division) GC Agarwal, a 58-wagon goods train laden with rice was on its way from Faridkot to Gandhidham when the incident occurred at around 8am near Marwar Bagra station.

Four wagons have been put on tracks while efforts are on to do the same to the remaining derailed bogies, he added.

A rescue team was rushed to the spot, while officials also have reached the spot to supervise and monitor the rescue operations.
