2 arrested in Faridabad for betting on World Cup match

Two bookies have been arrested for allegedly accepting bets on a World Cup match here, police said today.

Acting on a tip-off, police raided a house in Faridabad yesterday and arrested two persons identified as Ajay and Tejendra, they said.

Bets were being accepted on West Indies and Ireland World Cup match, they said, adding mobile phones and TV sets were recovered from the spot.
