Sixteen people were killed and seven others injured in separate fire-related incidents in Uttar Pradesh, officials said here today.
           
While, three persons each were killed in fire-related incidents in Rare Bareli and Kushinagar, two deaths each were reported from Goarkhpur and Pratapgarh and one each from Maharajganj, Gonda, Mankapur, Bahraich, Sitapur and Hardoi, they said.
           
Three persons were killed in Bachrawan in Rae Bareli district when fire broke out in Azrailkhera village last evening in which 16-17 houses were gutted and crop was damaged, police said.
           
Similarly, around 80 houses were gutted and a 75-year-old woman was seriously injured when fire broke out in Malwa village in Sultanpur district, they said. The cause of blaze was being ascertained.
           
In Jaunpur, six persons were seriously injured and crop, spread over several acres area, was damaged in separate incidents at Sarokahnpur and Lakhma villages last night, they said.
