150 kg of poppy seized in Jammu, 2 smugglers arrested

Two narcotic smugglers were arrested and 150 kg of poppy was recovered from their possession in Jammu district.

A police team intercepted a truck at Miran Sahib at the outskirts of Jammu city and recovered 150 kgs of poppy packed in seven bags from the vehicle last evening, Sub Divisional Police Officer, RS Pura, H S Gill said here today.

The smugglers - Amerjeet Singh and Vishwanath - were arrested and a case has been registered against them, SDPO said.
