14-year-old abducted, raped in Jammu

A class eighth student was allegedly kidnapped and raped by a youth in Akhnoor belt of Jammu district, the police said.

The 14-year-old student, who had gone to school, was kidnapped by Deepak Singh from Kotemera area in Akhnoor last evening, they said.

The police later, on a complaint, raided a house in Narayana area and rescued the girl, they said, adding that Singh was arrested and a case registered against him.
