11 bodies flown from Leh to Udhampur

Bodies of eleven persons killed in the unprecedented cloudbursts in Leh were today flown in an IAF plane to Udhampur in Jammu region from where they were dispatched to their respective families in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Rajasthan, police said.

The bodies were flown from Leh to Udhampur IAF station in AN-32 plane this afternoon where they were received by local MLA and district officials, they said.

The bodies were later dispatched by road to their respective destinations, they said adding that eight bodies were sent to Doda and one each to Samba district, Pathankote (Punjab) and Rajasthan.
