10 kgs RDX recovered from militant hideout in J&K

Army today recovered a cache of explosives, including 10 kgs of RDX, from a militant hideout in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, a defence spokesman said.

Acting on a tip off, troops of 29 Rashtriya Rifles conducted a search operation at village Chak Seeri near Pattan, 27 kms from here, in North Kashmir and unearthed a militant hideout, the spokesman said.

A 60-MM mortar, ten UBGL (Under Barrel Grenade Launcher) grenades, 1192 rounds of AK ammunition, five detonators, two
IED circuits, a 12-bore gun and one wireless set were recovered from the hideout besides 10 kgs of RDX, he said, adding, no one was arrested during the operation.
