For the next episode of 'Dr Subhash Chandra (DSC) Show', the Chairman of Essel Group and ZEE, Dr. Subhash Chandra, on Monday addressed the students of T.A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) in Manipal.

Dr Chandra held a discussion on the topic 'Has medial lost its credibility?'. Sharing his opinion Dr Chandra said, "News media is a tool which in a large democracy like ours creates public opinion so that the other pillars of the society like the executive, the legislature, the judiciary and even business, do not use the democracy for their own gains. Today, so much information is available on the internet which helps people to decipher the difference between right and wrong. Social media is keeping the mass media in check and helping the news media to stay honest.”

Talking about the importance of gratitude during the discussion, Dr Chandra said, "The expression of gratitude to the environment makes life beautiful. When we do good work, we like our reflection in the mirror in the morning. This sense of gratitude also makes us feel more positive, better and younger.

Dr Chandra also talked about the newly launched DSC Club which identifies talents of each individual through a scientific method which assists in career guidance. He said, "We want to identify the change agents in the country who will become a part of the editorial team of an e-newspaper for their own city, assembly or constituency.” The DSC Club aims to create a talent pool in different parts of the country and become a bridge between potential entrepreneurs and financial institutions.

The DSC Show has successfully completed over 40 episodes travelling to various cities across India, including Mumbai, New Delhi, Noida, Kolkata, Jaipur, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Ghaziabad, Pune, Jalandhar, Chandigarh and now Manipal.
