Woman gangraped in Howrah railway station

A married woman was allegedly gangraped by at least four men in front of her husband at Mourigram station premises in this district, GRP officials said on Friday.

The incident happened when a couple missed the last train to their village in West Midnapore and were sleeping at the station last night, they said.

About four men lifted the woman to a corner and raped her after tying her husband with ropes, the officials said, adding, the woman was admitted to hospital for medical examination.

One person has been detained in this connection, officials said.
