West Bengal: Woman gangraped, private parts violated with glass bottle

A woman is in a critical condition after she was allegedly gang raped and a glass bottle was inserted in her private part by three men in Birbhum district of West Bengal, reported Hindustan Times.

The incident reportedly took place early on Monday in Sainthia, about 195 km from state capital Kolkata.

The victim's condition is critical and needs an urgent operation. However, she can't be moved to a bigger hospital because of her physical condition, police said.

The men entered into her house,  then tied her hands and gagged her before allegedly raping, she told police.

She also said that one of accused was known to her. “After they raped me, they thrust a bottle in my private parts before leaving,” the woman told the police.

The accused are still absconding and the matter is being investigated.
