Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday kick started her party's poll campaign by taking out a massive march in the city, which gave a clarion call to reject the CPI(M), the Congress and the BJP.

At the end of the march, which started at Shyambazar in the north and ended at Esplanade at the centre, Mamata said, "Last time we had begun our poll campaign on the International Women's day. This time too we started our poll campaign on Women's Day." "We seek the blessing of the people of Bengal. The people of Bengal will give a befitting reply to the CPI(M), Congress and BJP," she said as slogans of "Maa Mati Manush Zindabad" and "Mamata Banerjee Zindabad" rent the air.

Mamata walking almost the entire stretch interacted with the people gathered on both sides of the road as her die-hard supporters and common people tried to break the police cordon. She herself broke the security cordon on several occasions to reach out to them.
