Uttar Pradesh CM Akhilesh Yadav was addressing press in Lucknow on Sunday, ahead of the fifth phase of UP polls which will be conducted on Monday.

Yadav hit out at PM Narendra Modi, said that he has ensured that during his tenure Kashi is provided with ample electricity, he didn't discriminate by providing excess electricity to a particular pocket during Ramzan and denying others on Diwali.

He also went to state that Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections were important one, thus he ensures that he speaks about work done by Samajwadi Party (SP) government in all the rallies he addresses. He thus questioned PM Modi, "Aapne Mann Ki Baat ki, lekin UP ki janta intezar kar rahi hai ke aap kab kaam ki baat karenge." (You spoke about your Mann ki Baat, but people of UP are waiting to hear things that are important to them.)

He reiterated that citizens should know what Central government has done for them, wherein he took potshots at demonetization stating that people are still hassled after Central government's move because thet aren't getting their money.

Questioning PM Modi's intention to waive loans of farmers, Akhilesh asked if it was done with elections in mind. He also claimed that SP government in UP has already provided Rs 1600 cr loan waiver to farmers and introduced Kisaan durgatna bhima, whereas central government had done nothing for farmers in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

Elaborating on work done in Uttar Pradesh, he said, "Samajwadis have worked for development without any discrimination and I am ready for a debate on it."

He asked Central government to bring their achievements to books and asked them about AIIMS. "I made sure land for setting up of AIIMS was allocated in Gorakhpur. I want to ask when will that AIIMS be ready?," he questioned.

Akhilesh was confident that the alliance will cross 300 mark.
