Expressing its disappointment over the Union Budget 2018-19, the NDA ally TDP today said it is going to a "declare war" and will decide the future course of action during a party meeting on Sunday.

Commenting on the Budget, a day after it was presented in the Parliament by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Telugu Desam Party MP TG Venkatesh said the option to break alliance is also open.

"We are going to declare war, have three options, one is to try and continue, two is our MPs resign and third is breaking of the alliance," Venkatesh said.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will hold a meeting of party leaders in Amaravati on Sunday to discuss the course of action, he said.

Venkatesh's statement comes a day after another TDP leader, Union Minister Y S Chowdhary expressed disappointment over the resources allocated in the Budget for Andhra Pradesh.

The Minister of State for Science and Technology noted that the people of Andhra were dissatisfied with the budget.

"People and the party are disappointed with the Union Budget presented today. Many state issues like Railway Zone, Polavaram project funding, funding for capital Amaravati and other pending issues of Andhra Pradesh were not addressed in the budget," he said.

Another leader, TDP MP from Srikakulam, Ram Mohan Naidu on Thursday said, "Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has paid many visits to Delhi, not once did Finance Minister Arun Jaitley mention his name during the budget speech".

TDP leaders' dissatisfaction over the Budget comes barely a week after Naiduhinted at breaking alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

"If the BJP does not want to continue alliance then the TDP will on its own," Naidu had said last week.

The CM said the TDP was still following 'Mitra Dharma' with BJP, but local BJP leaders were crossing the limits.

The TDP which is part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) at the Centre has been demanding Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh after its bifurcation in 2014. But the demand was rejected outright by the Centre.

The TDP had also sided with the opposition in the Rajya Sabha, where the BJP and its allies do not have a majority, to refer the controversial triple talaq bill to a select committee.
