School students across Jharkhand will have an opportunity to only listen to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Teachers' Day, but some of them long to ask a few questions as well during the session.

"The children will be glad to ask questions to the Prime Minister," said Krishna Murari Pandey, a teacher with the Gobind High School in Garhwa. But Jharkhand is not among those states where there would be a two-way interaction.

"The children in Jharkhand will only listen to the interaction as the state is not among the few states like J&K and Assam where there is a question/answer session with the Prime Minister," HRD secretary Aradhana Patnaik said.

Harshika, a class VIII student of Aditya Birla Girls' School in Garhwa said "If only I had the opportunity to ask the PM, I would have asked him why we are always scared of going to school after reading some reports in newspapers."

Another student Khushi Kumar of Bazaar Middle School, Latehar said, "I would have asked if our school can get computers and a well-equipped laboratory." Meanwhile, arrangements at schools for tomorrow's programme were almost complete with.

"We have made arrangements for TVs at panchayat bhavans, pragyan centres and schools where students can watch the programme. Some private persons will also provide TVs wherever there is no set. Generators will be used in case of no power supply," the HRD secretary added.
