Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) leader and former Union Minister for Health Anbumani Ramadoss will contest for the upcoming polls in Tamil Nadu from Pennagaram. This falls in the constituency of Dharmapuri.

Ramadoss is an MP from the constituency of Dharmapuri currently. In the 2010 bypolls, the DMK won the Pennagaram Assembly seat.

PMK rules the Dharmapuri constituency and this time around, Ramadoss may win successfully. Prohibition has become one of the key agendas in the elections and Pennagaram has complete prohibition. Ramadoss has been advocating this and one of the items in the PMK manifesto is the ban on alcohol. Another key item is to ensure employment for all and remove corruption. 

 

Meanwhile, the PMK president GK Mani will contest  from Mettur constituency in Salem. He won this seat in the 2006 elections.
