Ahead of the verdict in the 14-year-old rape case against the Dera Sacha Sauda Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, the states of Haryana and Punjab have been put on a high alert.
As a precautionary measure, the Punjab and Haryana government have imposed Section 144 across the entire state with immediate effect and shut all schools and colleges on August 25.
However, the police force on the ground is still unaware about how the Dera chief will arrive in Panchkula to go to court.
A special CBI court in Panchkula will pronounce the judgment in sexual exploitation case against the Dera chief on Friday and he has also been asked to appear in person before the court on the same day.
"The entire police top brass is busy chalking out a specific plan and officers are in constant touch with the Dera management," reported India Express quoting sources.
“His (Ram Rahim Singh) arrival plan is top secret. Only a couple of officers are in the loop on this. How the Dera head will enter the district court complex and how he will be escorted out is also not clear" a senior Haryana police officer told the daily.
Meanwhile, Ram Rahim Singh said that though he has back pain, he will abide by the law and will go to court. "I have faith in God. Please maintain peace," he posted on Twitter.
हमने सदा क़ानून का सम्मान किया है।हालाँकि हमारी back में दर्द है,फिर भी क़ानून की पालना करते हुए हम कोर्ट ज़रूर... https://t.co/KpTEsCSiUV

The sect's spokesperson also said, "We always followed legal process, we believe in due process and we will follow the due process."
A two-day ban — on August 24 and 25 — has been imposed on vehicular movement on roads near Haryana's Panchkula district court complex. Two control rooms have been set up in view of the possibility of any 'emergent' situation.
