Amid speculation that he may be named the chief ministerial candidate following his party's splendid show in the Jharkhand Assembly polls, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Raghubar Das on Tuesday said that a final call in this regard would be taken by the party's central leadership including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"I am grateful to the people of Jamshedpur for their love and support. I want to assure the people of Jharkhand that Raghubar Das will always be there at their service," Das told the media here. "That is for the party's central leadership, the Prime Minister and the parliamentary board will decide," he added when asked about the possibility of him being considered for the coveted post of the Chief Minister.

As per latest trends, the BJP is likely to emerge as the single largest party in Jharkhand as it is leading in 39 seats. The BJP's closest competitor, the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) is ahead in 20 seats. The Congress is placed at a distance third leading in just seven seats.
