Amid ongoing war of words, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday once again attacked the state unit of the BJP calling it 'spineless'.

The Chief Minister asked the BJP to stop giving ‘accountancy lessons’ on the micro-blogging site.

“The Karnataka BJP is so spineless that instead of asking the center to waive farmers’ loans it is giving accountancy lessons on Twitter,” the CM said in reply to tweets by the Karnataka BJP.

He further added that people will not be fooled. "Center can write off lakhs of crores of a few industrialists but can’t give debt relief to crores of farmers."

Last week, the Karnataka wing of the BJP took on Rahul Gandhi, saying he didn’t understand the difference between “loan waiver and loan write-off”.

"Banks have not waived off corporate loans, they have written off, meaning they will recover it. From someone who doesn't understand difference b/w bhrastachaar & balatkaar, it is unfair to expect understanding of difference between loan waiver & loan write off," the BJP tweeted.

Following which, the Chiwf Minister said that at least you admit the loans of large industrialists have been written off.

The high-octane campaign for the Karnataka polls is underway with the heavyweights of both Congress and BJP canvassing in the state. The H D Deve Gowda-led JD(S) is the other major party in the fray.

Siddaramaiah exuded confidence that the Congress will retain power in the state, even as he asserted that "none can stop" party chief Rahul Gandhi from becoming the next prime minister of the country.

"It is going to be a secularism versus communalism contest (in Karnataka). The Congress is confident that under Rahul ji's leadership, we will come back to power with a thumping majority in the southern state, he said.
