The Patna High Court today set aside a plea accusing self-styled godman Nirmal Baba of cheating and forgery.

Justice AK Singh set aside the petition of Rakesh Kumar Singh of Araria alleging that Baba had taken Rs1000 from him in the name of making him popular and lucky. But nothing of the sort happened despite paying the money, he alleged.

An Araria district court had earlier issued a non-bailable warrant against Nirmal Baba in the case. The Patna High Court had granted stay on the Araria district court order.

Baba's advocate contended that the complaint was false as nothing like this had happened.
