BJP today said the government may have lined up several Bills for passage in the forthcoming session of Parliament but the onus of smooth functioning of the House lies on the government and alleged members of the ruling party themselves have been disrupting proceedings.

"Government is bringing so many Bills in this session of Parliament. Was it sleeping for the last nine years? The last session saw Congress MPs walking into the Well of the House and disrupting proceedings. They also moved a no-confidence motion against the government," BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said.

The party alleged the session was shortened due to the conduct of the Congress members.

"The responsibility of running the House lies with the government. The people have seen how the last session was wasted by Congress members. There is complete anarchy in the Congress," Javadekar said.

BJP maintained while government will make efforts to get its Bills passed, the opposition will raise issues it feels need to be flagged.
