One realtor named in quarter of MahaRERA cases disposed so far

Since May 2017, the authority has disposed off 40 cases of developer violations or possession delays. While it's first order was on May 5, the latest was on Friday, October 6.

Of the total 40 violation cases disposed off by Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) since May, nine cases have been that of one developer. The developers, who are based in Pune, say their name features so often because they want to their cases to be dealt with soon.

Since May 2017, the authority has disposed off 40 cases of developer violations or possession delays. While it's first order was on May 5, the latest was on Friday, October 6.

The last order on a case related to Marvel Realtors was passed on October 3. In it, the firm was ordered to pay Rs 15,000 as rent if it fails to complete the project on the date promised to the buyer. The order read, "If the respondent (Marvel Realtors), fails to complete the project on time, then it will pay Rs 15,000 as rent for a 3 BHK flat."

Marvel Realtors CEO of Vishwajeet Jhavar, said, "There are thousands of cases, but our name comes up the maximum because we don't keeping postpoing our dates. We have good relations with the clients. In a majority of our cases, the complainant has withdrawn the complaint."
