Now, you can 'buy' a PhD thesis for Rs 55,000 in Delhi

Now, it is easy to get a PhD thesis in Delhi, without actually having to toil for it. 

In many areas of South Delhi, the business of selling PhD thesis is fast picking up. You can 'buy' one for Rs 50,000-55,000. And the shopkeepers even assure you that the thesis will be original. 

In the following audio clip, you can hear the conversation between the shopkeeper and our reporter, where the shopkeeper explains that payment can be made in three installments. 

The shopkeeper even claims that faculty from reputed institutes like Jawahar Lal Nehru University (JNU) and Delhi University (DU) is hired to work on the thesis. The 'rigorous' process is employed to make sure that the University Grants Commission (UGC) cannot withhold a research on the grounds of plagiarism, he says.
