Accusing the Trinamool Congress of running a " tyrannical" government in West Bengal, the BJP Monday ruled out the possibility of a post-poll alliance with the Mamata Banerjee led party. "We will not have any alliance with the Maharani of Trinamool Congress," Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national spokesperson Siddhartha Nath Singh said during an interaction with media persons here.

Asserting that the fight in Bengal was mainly between the BJP and Trinamool, Singh said the "wave" surrounding his party's prime ministerial nominee Narendra Modi has made Banerjee nervous. "The way she has been attacking Modi and our candidates in the state is indicative of her nervousness," said Singh, also the party's co-observer for the state.

He said the way police complaints were being filed against Bollywood singer and party candidate from Asansol Babul Supriyo only revealed that the regime was running a "dictatorship". Singh also attacked the Trinamool over the Saradha chit fund scam. "The Trinamool has the same DNA as that of the Congress, so it is not surprising that it has been indulging in massive scams since it came to power in the state," he said as he criticised both the central and the state governments for their failure to identify those behind the Saradha scam.
