Odisha chief minister and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) chief, Naveen Patnaik on Sunday thanked his party-men for unanimously electing him as the leader of the BJD legislature party and heading the state as chief minister for a record fourth time.
"I am very grateful to the honorable MLAs of BJD for having elected me as the leader of the BJD legislature party," Patnaik said.
"We will all work together with renewed efforts for the development and welfare of our state," he added.
In the recently concluded polls, the BJD achieved a resounding victory in both the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, winning 117 and 20 seats respectively.
