Murderer of teen gets 175-year-long jail term, but not death penalty

Recently, the 18-year-old Cara Holley was brutally murdered by the 25-year-old Shane Padgett who beat her around the head repeatedly before plunging a tire iron down her throat, and then, stored her images in his phone under her name and date, reports the Express.

Taking about the unprecedented event, the victim's mother, Lisa Cowling said that he gouged her eye out, hit her 13 times around the head and shoved a tire iron so far down her throat that it broke through her stomach lining, and then, he sexually assaulted her.

Though the victim's mother was expecting a death penalty, but the murderer was just sentenced to five consecutive life sentences without parole along with 175 years in jail.

Speaking in court about the murder of an innocent girl, Padgett said that he tied up her legs and arm to her waist, and then, started kicking her.

He said he killed out of a sense of rage.
