The Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) police have recently registered a case against the chief executive officer (CEO) of an international bank for allegedly harassing a female staffer. The police are yet to make any arrest in the case.

According to the police, the 30-year old complainant works at a senior position in the bank, which has a branch in BKC. In her complaint, the woman has alleged that the CEO had been causing her constant mental harassment for the past few months.

"The woman also alleged in her complaint that the man sent her obscene messages on WhatsApp. She claimed that she had initially ignored these messages, but when the messages became increasingly regular, she met the person and requested him not to send her such messages," said an officer from BKC police station.

He added that the woman, however, kept on receiving obscene messages. "After repeated harassment, the woman gave a written complaint against the man to the police a few days ago. After verifying her allegation, an FIR was registered in the matter under relevant sections of the Information Technology Act and Indian Penal Code against the CEO. No arrest has been made yet," the officer said.
