Several parts of Rajasthan received

light to moderate rain as pre-monsoon showers brought relief

from searing heat.

Desuri (Pali) recorded the maximum of 8 cm rain followed

by Shahpura (Jaipur) and Gogunda (udaipur) where 5 cm rainfall

was measured from yesterday till today morning.

Merta city and Khinwsar in Nagaur district recorded 4 cm

rain during this period, according to the Met department here.

Meanwhile, Jaisalmer was the hottest place in the state

registering a maximum temperature of 42.3 degrees Celsius.

Barmer, Churu, Sri Ganganagar and Bikaner recorded

maximum day temperature of 42, 41.5, 40.4 and 40 degrees

respectively.
