Kolkata: Auto driver arrested for molesting middle-aged woman

A 45-year-old auto driver was on Saturday arrested on the charge of molesting a middle-aged woman, who filed a police complaint against the accused, the police said.

According to the police, Mujahid Ali, 45, was arrested after the woman filed a police compliant accusing the auto driver of molesting him near the South City Mall last night. Bengal transport minister Madan Mitra intervened and the auto driver was arrested.

The driver after being arrested filed a counter-complaint accusing the woman of beating him up after they had quarreled.
