The personal assistant of a minister from the Siddaramaiah government along with three other officials were arrested by Kolhapur police in Maharashtra for attending a rave party with sex workers, according to an India Today report.

A total of nine people, which also includes the kingpin of a local prostitution racket have been arrested. All arrested have been sent to judicial custody by a local court.

The PA has been identified as Kiran Singh Rajput, Nagaraj Hanumanthaiah who works in the secretariat, Hemanth Rame Gowda and Arun M from the Education Department. Among the five others arrested is also the woman who supplied prostitutes to the party.

The rave party was held at a private farm in Injole in Kolhapur district.

The party was a return favour for Rajput, who allegedly helped a contractor to get his work done. They did not want to hold the party in Karnataka and hence chose the place in Kolhapur.
