In the latest instance of Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed overtly pursuing its anti-India terror agenda, the outfit's journal Al-Qalam' has published a column written by its chief Maulana Masood Azhar, inciting Indian Muslims and spewing venom against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The column titled Ah! Indian Muslims has been written under the name 'Sa'di', a pen-name used by Azhar for several years. In the column, the Pathankot attack mastermind writes, "I know that India will cry out at my column. Let's do it I damn care. All the operations in India will be transferred to my file. Let's do it I damn care. She is free to shift the responsibility of every operation from Kashmir to Kaniyal Kumaari to my shoulders. Restrictions, captures, hangings and conspiracies can not frighten the Muslims. The oppressions and persecutions on the Indian and Kashmiri Muslims have provoked our hearts in the fire (sic)."
The JeM is responsible for targeting military and civilian facilities in Pathankot, Nagrota, Gurdaspur and Akhnoor, as well as the Indian Consulate in Mazar-e-Sharif. On July 15, three armed JeM terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in the Tral area in South Kashmir's Pulwama district.

Azhar claims, "The situation in India is deteriorating, unbearable and loathsome. A leader issued the statement that they would shed blood of thousands of men if they were to protect the cow."
He writes, "Is it not better to die roaring like Sultan getting injuries in your breast and welcoming death smiling... Death is to come one day or another as Muslim inflicts defeat but does not accept defeat (sic)."
"O Modi, O Yogi The Muslim Blood is very precious. Extirpation of the Muslims is impossible. If only one real Muslim ruler comes in Pakistan, you can teach a lesson in three to four days. Still no matter. What if we are not rulers?
The Muslims are present from UP to Karnatick, Karachi to Khyber at every mountain and port so you will be responsible for your oppressions if Allah wishes. This is not a threat but a bad and true fact. (sic)," Azhar rails.
The United States government has named Pakistan among nations that provide "safe haven" to terrorist groups. The US State Department's 'Country Reports on Terrorism' for 2016, released recently, states that Pakistan did not take sufficient action against groups such as Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed, which continued to operate, train, organise, and fundraise in Pakistan.
The report referred to the Pathankot terror attack, and also stated that the US and India worked together to designate JeM leader Maulana Masood Azhar, although the listing was blocked in the UN 1267 Committee.
