Jammu and Kashmir's hardliner separatist Syed Ali Shah on Wednesday sent a confidential letter to Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif, reports IANS. A three member delegation met the Pakistan envoy Abdul Basit to hand him the letter.
The delegation which comprised of Geelani's top aides Ayaz Akbar, Peer Saifullah, and Altaf Ahmad met with Basit and spoke to him for an hour.
Ayaz Akbar, Hurriyat Conference spokesperson said that the letter is confidential and highly important. "Officials at the high commission assured us that the letter will be dispatched to the Pakistan prime minister on Wednesday," he added.
Geelani was set to meet Pakistan's NSA Sartaj Aziz during the India-Pakistan NSA talks which was scuttled.
