The idea of creating the World's Largest Poster was enthusiastically lapped up by the Management and students of Santosh Rungta Group of Institutions.
The Guinness World Records, the global authority on record breaking, confirmed that a poster erected to create awareness of Swachch Bharat Mission by Central India's premier Santosh Rungta Group and Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha coordinated by eminent educationist Dr Jawahar Surisetti, is the official World's largest poster.
Guinness World Records confirmed that the poster the Prime Ministers of India post independence, measures 36,180 sq ft (3361.23 sq m) measuring 180 ft breadth and 201 ft length.
Dr Jawahar Surisetti, the coordinator of the event, said that when PM Modi announced the Swachch Bharat Abhiyan, we decided to create awareness around this mission amongst youth. Then it was conceptualised that we would create the World's largest poster with the array of all Prime Ministers of India and unveil it to the public at large.
The idea of creating the World's Largest Poster was enthusiastically lapped up by the Management and students of Santosh Rungta Group of Institutions.
He added that previous biggest poster (about 34000 ft) was unveiled by Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar's fans club, 'Team Akshay' for promotion of his movie 'Boss' in UK and before that it was Sony Music's poster (about 5000 ft) of Michael Jackson for the album 'Michael'.
To add value to the mission, about 5000 youth including students of Santosh Rungta Group of Institutions, volunteers and members of BJYM, school students as well as invitees participated and took pledge of dedicating 100 hours in a year to maintain sanitation and cleanliness in their educational institutions and surroundings.
School Children of Rungta International School sung a Swachch Bharat youth anthem penned by Dr.Jawahar Surisetti and composed by Tapasya to the crowd during the unveiling of the largest poster, motivating youth to clean their surroundings and not just their homes.
The unveiling of the World's Largest Poster was done by Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Dr Raman Singh, BJYM National President Anurag Thakur in the Outdoor Stadium at Raipur in the presence of State BJP President Dharamlal Kaushik, Minister Brijmohan Agrawal ,Eminent educationist and coordinator of the event Dr Jawahar Surisetti, State BJP Spokesperson, Sanjay Shrivastava, MLA Mahesh Gagada ,Chairman of Santosh Rungta Group Santosh Rungta, Directors Sourabh and Sonal Rungta and other dignitaries.
