Hinduism can rightly be called, “The Religion of Festivals.” Each year hundreds of festivals are celebrated, which are dedicated to various Hindu Gods and Goddesses. 

On September, 17 every year, Vishwakarma Jayanti or Vishwakarma Puja is celebrated in the Indian states of Karnataka, Assam, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, and Tripura. 

Vishwakarma Puja is celebrated to mark the birth of Lord Vishwakarma, the architect.

Images of Vishwakarma Puja from Tripura is making a buzz. In the pictures, you can see many rifles like LMG  and Insas are being worshipped on the occasion of Vishwakarma Puja. Every year Tripura State Rifles men perform this puja on Vishwakarma Jayanti and pay tribute to their weapons. 

In the Rig Veda, Lord Vishwakarma is known as the creator of the world, the science of mechanics and architecture. 

Lord Vishwakarma is also known as the creator of many magnificent weapons for the Gods.
