'I will accept Jayalalithaa's niece Deepa's support': 10 things OPS said at his press conference

A day after being removed from the post of AIADMK treasurer by the party's General Secretary VK Sasikala Natarajan, incumbent Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O Panneerselvam on Wednesday addressed the media and said that he will accept Jayalalithaa's niece Deepa Jayakumar's support if offered.

On Tuesday, Panneerselvam had said that no one had the right to remove him from the post of treasurer which was given to him by Amma 10 years ago.

Here are 10 things he said in his press conference on Feb 8:

1. I haven't betrayed AIADMK while in power or in opposition and will withdraw resignation if party cadres ask.

2. Amma remained CM for nearly 16 years. I happened to become CM twice, all this was Amma's wish. I have always followed Amma's path.

3. Health queries regarding Amma were raised in the recent past. It's the duty of the state government to enquire.

4. An inquiry commission will be formed to probe 'doubts' regarding Jayalalithaa's health.

5.  I will meet the governor (Ch Vidyasagar Rao) once he is back in Chennai.

6. I will prove my strength in the state assembly.

7. I will meet Tamil Nadu people in each and every city to make my point.

8. Sasikala Natarajan is the interim general secretary of AIADMK.

9. The Union Govt supports Tamil people. Whoever extends support to Tamil people, we will accept it

10. I will accept Deepa's (Jayalalithaa's niece) support, if offered. "
