Hyderabad: Dead patient set on fire by doctor after medication overdose

Salman was allegedly trying to escape so they caught him and handed him over to the police.

In Shamshabad, a doctor, Salman, was caught by the local people when he was trying to do the unthinkable. Salman allegedly tried to burn a patient of his who died after he prescribed the wrong medication.

A report in The New Indian Express states that he took the body of the victim on a two-wheeler and tried to set the body on fire. However, the locals in the area caught him before he managed to do it.

The patient who died was identified as Nayimuddin (45). Reportedly, he was regular patient of Salman, a registered medical practitioner (RMP). He went to meet Salman as he had severe back pain and other issues and Salman gave him an injection which is allegedly an overdose.

RGIA inspector T Sudhakar has been quoted by the daily, that the patient died within minutes of getting the injection in the clinic. Salman then took the body to a desolate area in Shatamrai locality and set it ablaze with petrol. Locals who noticed the smoke and smell came to the area and found the body. Salman was allegedly trying to escape so they caught him and handed over to the police. The RGIA police are now investigating.
