A local court today posted for tomorrow, hearing on a petition by police seeking custody of an accused in the murder of Hindu Munnani functionary.
Abu Dahir was arrested a week ago and was named an accused in the murder of C Sasikumar, who was waylaid and murdered by a four-member motorcycle-borne gang on September 22.
The Special Investigation Division of CB-CID, the investigating agency, filed the petition seeking his custody for questioning.
When the petition came up today before the Chief Judicial Magistrate here, counsel for Abu Dahir, who was produced before the court, opposed police custody.
After arguments, the Magistrate posted the hearing for tomorrow.
Meanwhile, police said CB-CID has named two persons-- Mubarak and Saddam Hussain-- as suspects in the case and their photos have been circulated in South India and some North Indian states.
