A woman allegedly killed her ex-boyfriend’s mother by setting her on fire in Haryana on Sunday. The accused, who also sustained burns, is undergoing treatment at Rohtak where doctors say her condition is critical.
According to reports, the police have booked Sunita, 21, the accused, for murder and registered a case at Bahadurgarh Sadar police station. Sunita is a resident of Jahangirpur village near Badli of Jhajjar and had met Saroj's (the victim) son Satyawan through a common friend.
The police said that Saroj had objected to the relationship, and eventually Satyawan married another woman in January. The cops added that Sunita, plotting revenge, reached her shop on Sunday, where she found Saroj with her daughter-in-law. Sunita then set Saroj on fire, but was also burnt by the flames. Onlookers tried to save Saroj, but failed.
