NDFB(S) cadre, Nerswn Brahma alias Naidaw, who was involved in the 2012 Bodo-Muslim violence, killed in gunfight with the security forces.

An NDFB (Songbijit) militant was killed in an encounter with a joint police and Army team in Assam's Kokrajhar district, a senior police official said.
The encounter took place at about 5.20 am between NDFB(S) cadres and security forces at Silaimatha forest area under Bogribari police station, IGP Dr L R Bishnoi, said.
An AK-47 rifle with two magazines, 44 rounds of ammunition, two bags, two mobile phones, extortion notes, a solar power plate, clothes, blankets and some other materials were recovered from the slain insurgent.
The deceased has been identified as Nerswn Brahma alias Naidaw, a cadre trained in Bangladesh, who was involved in the 2012 Bodo-Muslim violence, the IGP said.
