Gurugram duo top ISC exam 2016 in Delhi-NCR region with a 99% score

Gurugram students Adya Joshi and Prithvir Bhalla shared the top position in ISC (class XII) exams in the Delhi-NCR region with a score of 99%.

The students, both from The Shri Ram School, have topped ISC class XII Examination 2015 conducted by Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) in Delhi-NCR region, chief executive officer of the Council Gerry Arathoon said on Friday while announcing the results.

The second and third position have been bagged by Laksh Arora from St Mary's Academy, Meerut and Arunima Shukla from Holy Child School, Ghaziabad with a percentage of 98.75 and 98.25 respectively.

A total of 1872 students had appeared in the class XII examination this year and the overall pass percentage is 96.10.

Girls have done better than boys recording pass percentage of 96.91% as compared to latter's 95.29 pass percentage.

The ISC examination was conducted in 50 written subjects of which 15 are Indian languages and 13 are foreign languages and 1 classical language.

In ICSE (Class X) examination, the top position has been shared by two students---Ritik Garg from St Joseph's School, Jahangirabad and Daksh Rastogi from St Mary's Academy, Meerut Cantt. They both scored 98.6%.

The second and third position has been bagged by Shriya Gupta from Sophia Girls' School, Meerut Cantt and Daman Arora from Sr Mary's Convent School, Ghaziabad. They scored 98.4 and 98.2% respectively.

The class X examination was taken by 4088 students in the Delhi-NCR region. The overall pass percentage is 98.04.

Girls with pass percentage of 98.32 overshadowed the boys whose pass percentage stood at 97.82%.

The ICSE examination was held in 63 written subjects including 22 Indian and 13 foreign languages as well as one classical language.
