Congress heaved a sign of relief on Wednesday evening, after General Secretary Gurudas Kamat decided to relent and withdraw his decision to quit Congress and politics.
He flew into Delhi on a call from 10 Janpath and is scheduled to meet Sonia Gandhi on Thursday morning.
This is not the first time and at least four times in the past, Kamat decided to resign from various positions, only to relent later.
His resignation threat is seen in the party as nothing more than a pressure tactic. He is currently the AICC general secretary in-charge of Gujarat and Rajasthan.
