Special CBI judge Shiv Pal Singh said on Thursday that he had received phone calls from Lalu Yadav's "well-wishers" after the RJD chief was convicted in a fodder scam case on December 23.

When Lalu asked the Ranchi court judge to keep a cool mind as it was too cold in the jail, Singh said he did his job as he wished and according to the law.

The court postponed the sentencing for the second consecutive day. It may happen on Friday.

The crowd in the court also disturbed the judge but Lalu said he will expel any unruly supporter from his party.

Lalu's first fodder scam conviction came in 2013. The cases relate to fraudulent withdrawal of Rs 1,000 crore from government accounts in the name of cattle fodder and medicine spends.

Lalu has four more cases of swindling money pending against him.
