Aam Aadmi Party's sting woes seemed to continue on Thursday when a former Congress party MLA said he had recorded evidence that AAP approached him for support before the Delhi Assembly Elections this year.

Ex-Congress MLA Asif Mohammad Khan claimed that AAP leaders Sanjay Singh and Manish Sisodia met him prior to the Delhi Assembly elections and seeked Congress support to form a government. Khan has said that he has recorded the conversation between him, Sanjay Singh and Manish Sisodia and will make it public when needed.

Reports say that Khan also claims that Singh and Sisodia told him if six Congress MLAs joined AAP after quitting Congress, they would be offered cabinet positions. He also reportedly said that Sanjay Singh asked Khan for this meeting to be confidential as other AAP leaders were not in favour to form a government with Congress.

Reacting to this controversy, AAP leader Sanjay Singh on Friday said, “Any video or audio sting with me in it is released and is true then I will quit politics."

On Wednesday, AAP received a major blow when senior leader Anjali Damania quit the party after a sting tape surfaced where Kejriwal is seen horse-trading with Congress MLAs. The tape was released by former AAP MLA Rajesh Garg, where he was asked to poach Congress MLAs so that AAP doesn't have to contest another election and can directly take over the Delhi government.

On Thursday night, another audio tape surfaced where Kejriwal allegedly talks of Muslims having no option other than AAP to stop the Narendra Modi wave.

"Today, no one is able to stop the Modi rath in the country. They are forming governments in states one after the other. Today, Muslims are looking at us...If anyone can stop the Modi rath. Congress is over. It has given up. It is not contesting polls. They are asking us to field 11 seats," Kejriwal is heard saying in the tape believed to have been released by a dissident AAP leader.

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is presently in Bengaluru for a 10-day naturopathy treatment.
